After purchasing, you’ll instantly receive your unique license key via email – along with a detailed installation guide (PDF).
This includes everything you need: how to flash the firmware, how to activate the full speed, and how to revert if needed.
Which scooter models are supported?
Currently supported:
Max G3 (also G3D / G3E / G3I)
ZT3 / ZT3 Pro (D / E versions)
F3 / F3 Pro
GT3
G30D II
G2 Max
F2 Series
Is the tuning legal?
No. Tuning your scooter for use on public roads may void your warranty and is not legal in many countries. It is intended for private property only.
Do I need tools or extra hardware?
No. Only a smartphone with Bluetooth and internet access is required. On iOS, you must use the Bluefy browser. More details can be found in the PDF guide or FAQ.
Can I reverse the tuning?
Yes. You can return to the original firmware anytime via the flashing website (https://wlbt.1dragon.de).
Your license code remains valid and can be used again on the same scooter.
Can I switch the tuning to a different scooter?
No. The code is permanently tied to the first scooter it is flashed to.
Can I reuse the code after a factory reset?
Yes, as long as you use the same scooter, the license remains valid. Just go to the flashing website and reapply it.
Can I still use the official Segway-Ninebot app?
Yes, but we advise you not to install Segway firmware updates after tuning. These can overwrite or break the tuning.
How does the flashing work?

Enter your license code
Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your scooter and apply the firmware
You’ll see "Firmware successfully installed" at the end
If you're on iOS, use the Bluefy browser.
Bluetooth permissions must be enabled in the iOS privacy settings.
POST-INSTALLATION BEHAVIOR
My scooter still shows 22 or 25 km/h after flashing. Why?
This is expected. For legal reasons, the scooter starts in its original state (22 or 25 km/h). To unlock the full tuning speed (e.g. 40–45 km/h), a secret activation code must be entered after every power-up. The code is in your PDF guide and should never be shared.
Do I need to enter the activation code after every ride?
Yes, after every reboot. This keeps the tuning hidden and stealthy. The scooter resets to original limits (22/25 km/h) until you activate the tuning again.
Does Cruise Control work?
Yes, for all new generation models (F3, F3 Pro, G3, GT3). During the ride, press and hold the left round button to enable cruise control.
For ZT3: the feature may not work reliably yet – an update is in development.
Does Zero Start work?
Yes. All supported scooters can start from a standstill after tuning.
How to enable the underbody lights (G3 models only)?
First, turn on the scooter’s headlight
Open the official Segway app and activate the underbody light in the settings
Can I change the secret activation code?
Not yet. A future update will allow this.
TROUBLESHOOTING
It says 'Preparing...' and nothing happens.
Make sure your scooter is at least 50% charged – below that, flashing may hang at "Preparing..." or show "Device not supported"
Try a different browser (use Chrome on Android, Bluefy on iOS)
Make sure Bluetooth is enabled and the scooter is not already connected to the Segway app
I get 'Invalid license key' or 'Timeout'.
Double-check the code for typos
If the problem persists, contact support. You’ll get a new code if needed.
BLE connection fails on iOS.
Make sure the Segway app is completely closed (even in the background)
Restart your iPhone and scooter
Enable Bluetooth permissions in iOS under Settings → Privacy → Bluetooth
The tuning doesn’t activate after entering the brake trick.
Most common issue: wrong rhythm. Try again more slowly or more quickly
For confirmation, check if Cruise Control or Zero Start works. If yes, the tuning is active
My scooter only drives 35 km/h. Shouldn’t it be faster?
That depends on your model. GT3 reaches ~50 km/h, G3 up to ~45 km/h, ZT3 ~40 km/h, F3 ~35 km/h
Speed also depends on battery level, road surface, rider weight, wind, etc.
Cruise control / speed settings / rear light options don’t appear in the Segway app
These are not Segway-native features. Some settings are added silently with the tuning but are only accessible indirectly (e.g., by pressing buttons while riding)
A user interface for more tuning features is planned in future updates
Can I get a refund?
If the tuning hasn’t been activated yet (no code entered), we can issue a refund. Once the license has been used, refunds are no longer possible unless there’s a proven technical issue we can’t resolve.
DELIVERY & ACCESS
Where do I find my code and guide?
The license code and the installation guide are sent to the email address you used at checkout. Check your spam folder if you don’t see them within 5–10 minutes.
I didn’t receive my code – what now?
Check your spam folder
If nothing is there, contact us with your name and order number. We’ll resend your code manually
Do you offer discounts?
Out of fairness and competition reasons, no general discount is possible.
